Testimonial

Our customers are changing the world, one packaging at a time

“EcoloPharm’s blister packaging is by far the best compliance packaging I’ve ever seen. They’ve thought of everything: the size and resistance of the cells, the accessories… the system is as simple as it gets.

We serve a group home, and the nursing staff love it, because it makes their work so much easier, in addition to increasing patient safety. Well done, EcoloPharm!”

Product

How is this blister packaging different from any other?

The EcoPill is the most eco-friendly compliance packaging on the market:

Ecoresponsibility and sustainable development

Aren’t all blister packs recyclable?

No. Blister packaging containing PVC or a combination of materials (aluminum foil, plastic compounds or a combination of paper and cardboard) are not recyclable.

In addition, if the detachable cells are not properly identified, they usually end up in the trash.

These factors have been taken into account in the design of the EcoPill to ensure that the end product is highly recyclable.

What is the material used to make the EcoPill compliance packaging?

The EcoPill is made of polypropylene (type 5), a non-toxic, highly recyclable plastic.

In addition:

  • It contains 30% recycled plastic*
  • It is made of a single material (100% #5 polypropylene), making it fully recyclable
  • Its cells are individually identified, further ensuring recyclability
  • The label’s adhesive is biodegradable
  • It contains no toxic materials (PVC or other)
  • Its label is made of 100% recycled fibres
  • Manufactured using a zero-waste process

For all these reasons, the EcoPill is the most eco-friendly compliance packaging on the market.

*Post-industrial recycled material from our closed-loop production chain

Why don’t you use recycled plastic or bioplastic?

Our blister packaging contains 30% recycled plastic, taken from our production line (the EcoPill is the result of a zero-waste manufacturing process, and the raw material recovered is clean, since it never left our production line).

As for bioplastic, we studied this possibility, before concluding that its environmental footprint was higher than that of polypropylene.

We are committed to continuous innovation to create solutions with the lowest possible environmental impact.
