maintenance TECHNICIAN

Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Operations and Innovation, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for carrying out various repair and machinery installation tasks. They ensure optimal productivity by implementing a rigorous preventive maintenance program and guaranteeing equipment reliability. 

Responsibilities

  • Carry out the full preventive maintenance program according to the maintenance schedule
  • Perform modifications and improvements to equipment and production systems (mechanical, robotic, electrical, and automated) to adapt them to our needs
  • Contribute to improving equipment efficiency and reliability
  • Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic drawings
  • Actively participate in improvement, reorganization, integration, and new equipment installation projects
  • Perform necessary adjustments for different departments and take part in regular inspections of production equipment
  • Complete all relevant documentation during interventions
  • Apply health and safety rules in the workplace

Desired profile

  • Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in Electromechanics or equivalent; 
  • Hold a Class C license (non-construction) or RCA certification (control panel wiring); 
  • Experience in a plastic manufacturing environment (an asset); 
  • Strong initiative and analytical skills; 
  • Demonstrated rigor in task execution; 
  • Strong team spirit and collaboration skills.
