Sales Director

Job Description

Reporting to the President, the Sales Director defines and implements the B2B strategy across Canada. They drive revenue growth, business development, and maximize their team’s potential. This key role also includes optimizing tools, processes, and management practices to ensure efficient execution.

Strategy

  • Develop go-to-market, growth, and competitive positioning strategies.
  • Establish, monitor, and optimize sales budgets.
  • Plan and model pricing, margins, and costs to ensure profitability.
  • Conduct continuous market intelligence (market trends and sector benchmarking).
  • Produce growth projections and forecasts aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Actively participate in the executive committee to contribute to overall vision and strategic decision-making.
  • Identify and implement technological approaches and tools to improve efficiency, consistency, customer experience, and sales performance.

Business Development

  • Maintain, develop, and strengthen a network of national strategic partners and clients.
  • Represent EcoloPharm at trade shows, conventions, and industry events.
  • Manage the full RFP (Request for Proposal) process, from drafting proposals to negotiating and closing contracts.
  • Identify and qualify new market segments by assessing growth potential and strategic fit.
  • Build long-term relationships with business partners and clients.

Team Management

  • Supervise, train, and engage team members to maximize performance and foster professional development.
  • Monitor both individual and collective performance.
  • Ensure achievement, and even surpassing, of key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide training on marketing tools in collaboration with the Communications Department.

Profile

  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of sales experience, including 1 to 3 years in team management.
  • Strong, results-driven leadership.
  • Availability for business travel (15–20% of the time).

Required Skills

  • Experience working with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong strategic analysis skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills (French/English).
