Ecodesign empowering pharmacies
We firmly believe that small actions can drive meaningful change. That by thinking differently, we can reduce our environmental footprint—without ever compromising performance or safety.
It’s this exact conviction that led Sandrine Milante to found EcoloPharm in 2009.
At the time, she was leading her family’s plastic transformation company when she became aware of an alarming reality: conventional manufacturing processes have a significant environmental impact. In the pharmaceutical industry, plastic waste reaches record levels—second only to the food industry.
That’s when the urgency to act became clear.
Sandrine’s ambition was bold: to revolutionize the pharmacy world by developing eco-designed pharmaceutical packaging that combined performance with sustainability.
Founding a company rooted in sustainable innovation required boldness. But EcoloPharm was born with a powerful mission: to push the limits of ecodesign and enable pharmacies to play a key role in protecting the environment.
Key Milestones in Our Growth
- 2009 – Company founded by Sandrine Milante.
- 2010 – Launch of our first products.
- 2018 – EcoloPharm becomes the first pharmaceutical packaging manufacturer to obtain B Corp certification.
- 2023 – Change in legal status: EcoloPharm becomes an impact-driven company. This was also the moment to refine our mission to better reflect our ambitions: “To generate a positive and lasting impact on people and the environment.”
- 2024 – A $15 million investment to double our production capacity and accelerate the development of new sustainable packaging.
