EcoloVial pharmacy vials are the only eco-designed vials. Made in Canada, they use up to 44% less plastic, and their one-piece design facilitates recycling. Their manufacturing process uses 55% less energy and generates 33% fewer GHG emissions than conventional manufacturing processes.
They are also shipped closed, with no plastic bags, and require up to 60% less cardboard for shipping than conventional vials.
Are EcoloVial medication vials recyclable?
Yes. EcoloVial vials are designed to facilitate recycling. Unlike conventional vials with a separate cap, the EcoloVial cap remains attached to the vial. Both are made of polypropylene, creating a mono-material package and helping prevent a detached cap from being separated from the vial during the recycling process.
The result is a design that simplifies end-of-life management and facilitates recycling where facilities are available.
